Our Historia
Arizola’s Mexican Restaurant opened in 1968 in Lake Worth, TX, by Mama Arizola. The original location was in the “Rock House” off of Jacksboro before the highway was widened. Mama Arizola passed away in 1991 and left the restaurant to her sons, Ricky and Art. Ricky graduated from Lake Worth High School and grew up helping out in the restaurant. While in school, Ricky became good friends with the Torrez family and later became business partners with Andrew Torrez. Ricky and Andrew opened El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant located in Saginaw, TX, in 1992. Shortly after, Art retired, and Andrew joined the Arizola’s Mexican Restaurant familia in 1994.
In 2003, Ricky passed away and left the restaurants to Andrew and his beloved wife, Angie. Andrew and Angie continue to work hard to keep the quality of food and service to the high standards that Mama Arizola placed in 1968.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support Arizola’s and El Sombrero. We look forward to serving the community for many more years to come.
